How to kick start your day.
Morning ritual – A ritual is a set of fixed actions, and sometimes words performed regularly as in a ceremony.
Morning rituals not only yield many health benefits but also help power-up your day.
Whatever you continuously think about is what you become.
The things you think about in the morning will determine how the rest of your day will be.
Morning ritual: Here is my personal “Kick Start” for the day.
1. Get the body moving.
It’s a no-brainer that physical exercise is essential.
Your exercise regimen doesn’t have to be high impact and lengthy.
Move your body change your mind – Rachel Hollis
Fifteen to twenty minutes of walking on a treadmill, cycling, callanetics, or even some sit-ups and push-ups to get the heart rate up and the blood flowing.
Recent studies show that fifteen to twenty-minute low impact workouts are just as beneficial if not more than longer harder workouts.
So, stop the excuses and get your body moving.
2. Start your day right.
Take at least 20 to 30 minutes in your morning ritual to think about your goals and objectives.
Read an excellent motivational magazine or book.
Either you run the day, or the day runs you – Jim Rohn
Biographies are great because most of the successful people you read about had to start right at the bottom.
Many of whom had an early start on the day, so they could spend some “me-time” in organizing their thoughts and attitudes.
3. Feed your mind with positive ideas.
See the next thirty to sixty minutes as your focusing hour that will help set the outcome for the rest of the day.
This first hour of the morning ritual will prepare your mind and body for the tasks and challenges for the entire day.
The output is only as good as the input – Unknown
Spend time going over your goals and objectives, review them, adjust plans accordingly, and prepare your mind to be able to slip into a positive frame.
4. Use the time you have effectively.
Affirmations are an integral part of creating a fertile and accepting mind.
Positive affirmations about being healthy, wealthy, and successful are paramount to strengthening self-esteem.
Affirmations don’t affect our conscious minds as much as our sub-conscious; this is where the true self is prepared and presented to the world.
Time isn’t the main thing, it’s the only thing – Miles Davis
By using affirmations, we condition our sub-conscious self into accepting the fact that we are healthy, wealthy, and successful.
It’s not long before we start acting as such, attracting confidence and success like a magnet.
5. Practice out of the box thinking.
Contemplate creative ways to achieve your goals for today, do something a little different, exciting, and out of the box to tone down the monotonous and boring.
6. Deliberate reflection.
Reflection during your morning ritual is also a perfect way to enforce discipline and focus for the day.
Reflect on what you have learned and are learning as you move toward your goals.
Reflective thinking turns experience into insight – John C. Maxwell
When you think back to a time when you were successful, how did you feel at the time and what did others say about your achievements.
How did this affect your future?
7. Visualize your successful day.
Take time during your morning ritual to visualize achieving your goals and objectives for the day.
Calmly close your eyes, breathe in deeply and slowly exhale, relax, and deliberately focus on the success of the day.
Moreover, see yourself closing that deal, smiling and being focused and purposeful, feel the excitement and the adrenalin as you seal the order with a firm handshake.
Everything we have spoken about your morning ritual will help in developing and strengthening your belief system.
Furthermore, you’ll become so convinced in your abilities and that you are unstoppable in achieving your goals.
The imagination is the golden pathway to everywhere – Terrence McKenna
Mastering one’s self is the secret to success.
Once you can master the way you think, you become a compelling magnet for creative opportunities for health, wealth, and success.
